摘要: Canine babesiosis is a tick-borne disease with world-wide significance caused by intraerythrocytic protozoa of the genus Babesia. The eicosanoids, as inflammatory mediators, are involved in regulation immune response and reaction. Metabolism lipids great importance babesiosis. In this study it was aimed to investigate dynamics serum concentration prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), thromboxane B2 (TxB2), leukotriene B4 (LTB4), triglycerides, total cholesterol (Chol), HDL- LDL-cholesterol dogs naturally infected Babesia canis healthy dogs. Both groups were measured for all parameters on admission day first, second seventh disease. Dogs that included had systemic syndrome (SIRS) multiple organ dysfunction (MODS). It demonstrated level LTB4, PGE2, TxB2 B. significantly changed during LTB4 higher study, while PGE2 second, third relation lower at beginning disease, but after seven days higher. group patients SIRS MODS LTB4. Substained high concentrations observed therapy not SIRS, followed similar tendency. On other hand, increases only significant SIRS. lipid profile infection changed. Further studies needed assess prognostic values mediators infection, ability these markers predict progress MODS.
