摘要: Background Multiple sclerosis (MS) often affects ambulation and the function of lower limbs. However, little is known about how much research has been conducted on extremity health in patients with MS. Objective To analyse empirical studies their evidence MS, order to identify need for future key areas. Methods A systematic scoping review was conducted. literature search Medline (PubMed), CINAHL (EBSCO) Cochrane Library databases performed. The covered period up 15 January 2020 from earliest records available. This led inclusion 42 articles. data were analysed using content analysis quantification techniques. Results focused primarily two main areas: gait muscle strength. Lower assessed a variety methods, most which consisted objective physical tests analysis. Patients MS had many problems extremities, manifested walking difficulties, balance problems, weaknesses spasticity. In feet, pes cavus, claw toes, oedema altered foot sensation common. Conclusions limb health, these can affect patients' daily lives. extent poorly understood, partly due dearth health. Therefore, further warranted better understand impact everyday life.
