摘要: Irritable bowel syndrome is one of the most common functional gastrointestinal (GI) disorders that significantly impair quality life in patients. Current available treatments are still not effective and pathophysiology this condition remains unclearly defined. Recently, research on intestinal stem cells has greatly advanced our understanding various GI disorders. Alterations conserved cell regulatory pathways such as Notch, Wnt, bone morphogenic protein/TGF- β have been well documented diseases inflammatory cancer. Interaction between signals from their environment important for control self-renewal, regulation number function specific types, maintenance mucosal barrier. Besides roles regulation, these also known to potent effects immune cells, enteric nervous system secretory gut, may be responsible aspects pathogenesis disorders, including visceral hypersensitivity, altered gut motility low grade inflammation. In article, we briefly summarize components signaling pathways, how they can modified by extrinsic factors novel treatments, provide evidenced support inflammation processes. Furthermore, propose changes contribute symptom development irritable syndrome.
