摘要: Failure data on mobile robots is critical for three reasons: to support the theory of autonomous fault detection, identification, and recovery necessary success in new domains; provide design manufacturing feedback robotics community; permit project managers accurately create development schedules. The failures considered this paper occurred over a period 2 years, variety environments. type frequency were collected from thirteen representing manufacturers seven models. was analyzed using standard measures reliability product. mean time between represents average next failure. Availability used gauge impact failure project. results show that low, with an MTBF 8 hours availability less than 50%. platform itself source most (42%) field robots, while control system responsible 29% failures.
