摘要: BACKGROUND Excessive catecholamine leads to pressure overload and left ventricular (LV) remodeling. The goal of this study was explore subclinical LV systolic dysfunction the mechanism preserved ejection fraction (LVEF) in patients with pheochromocytoma paraganglioma using two-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography. METHODS A total 48 LVEF 38 age- gender-matched volunteers were studied. Echocardiographic parameters including LVEF, global peak longitudinal circumferential strains measured. correlation between echocardiographic blood as well biochemical analyzed. RESULTS similar controls. amplitude strain decreased, increased group (P = .003 P = .009). mass index positively correlated 24-hour urinary norepinephrine (r = .696, P < .0001; r = .470, P = .0007). reduced increase pressure, (r = -.305, P = .035; r = -.506, P = .0002; r = -.680, P < .0001). CONCLUSIONS This revealed that excessive associated mass. decreasing index. enhanced might be compensation maintain normal these patients.
