摘要: The esterification of salicylic acid (SA) using dimethyl carbonate (DMC) is reported for the first time. reaction studied in detail over zeolites Hβ, HZSM5 and HY temperature region 370–425 K an autoclave under autogenous pressure. molar ratio SA to DMC, period weight zeolite catalysts are varied. conversion 90% both Hβ at 423 K. not as effective a catalyst other two. Irrespective levels selectivity towards methyl salicylate greater than 95%. A comparative study on esterifying ability DMC methanol reported. From kinetic data, energy activation (Ea) calculated be 25 36 kcal/mol, respectively. mechanism with proposed.
