摘要: The main neurotransmitters in the vertebrate retina are glutamate, GABA and glycine. Their localization different cell types is well known. In addition, there exists a number of neuropeptides other neuroactive substances that only expressed by sparse populations neurons. recent years, molecular biology has led to discovery rapidly increasing neurotransmitter receptors apparent simplicity mammalian contrasted expression plethora receptor subunits (not mentioning isoforms). This article will concentrate on glutamate with intention reviewing some data their possible involvement retinal function.
