摘要: Abstract A fibrous composite beam with an edge crack is submitted to a cyclic bending moment and the bridging actions due fibers. Assuming general elastic-linearly hardening model for fibers linear-elastic law matrix, statically indeterminate are obtained from compatibility conditions. The elastic plastic shake-down phenomena examined in terms of generalised cross-sectional quantities and, by employing fatigue growth law, mechanical behaviour up failure captured. Within framework proposed fracture mechanics-based model, debonding at fiber–matrix interface short analysed depth. By means some simplifying assumptions, such phenomenon can be described linear isotropic tensile softening/compressive law. Finally, numerical examples presented beams randomly distributed
