摘要: Currently, countries with the highest human development index (HDI) dominate production of ecological research. This is problematic because ecology a discipline that highly relevant to challenges facing lower indices. We characterize full state current inequity at authorship and editorial levels, investigating relative role gross domestic product (GDP) versus research investment in driving publication patterns. find representation low HDI decreases dramatically from levels. GDP was best predictor rate for high countries, whereas an equal or better countries. In light our results, we propose alternative model knowledge sharing emphasizes (a) increasing equity communication science global scale, (b) expanding funding (c) prioritizing regions.
