摘要: Much emphasis in recent decades has been devoted to inflammation and infection as a premier causal mechanism of preterm birth. This article explores the epidemiologic, clinical, animal data that exist support this conceptual paradigm well proposed mechanisms through which potentially mitigate adversity prematurity. Truly successful interventions are not likely occur until pathogenesis birth role causing only parturition but also fetal neonatal injury is fully elucidated.
