摘要: Wireless local area networks (WLANs) provide wireless communication between various devices. Frames are acknowledged (ACKed) after a short and predefined MAC idle time. The time varies with 1) the physical distance devices, caused by delay of signal propagation, 2) to detect ACK at device, which strength incoming ACK. Embodiments present CAESAR (CArriEr Sense-bAsed Ranging), combines flight (TOF) signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) measurements calculate two measures estimating in data/ACK particular clock resolution detection on per-frame basis. Performance confirm accuracy solution show capability track WLAN smart phones pedestrian speeds.
