摘要: An A-VMUX comprises a AWG having N channel waveguides incorporating VOAs and receiving signals by way of AR coating, an output waveguide. ordinary SOA is provided in the waveguide for amplifying multichannel signal supplied to optical fibre, auxiliary supplying lasing wavelength outside main band order provide gain-clamping SOA. The with highly reflective (HR) coating at edge chip that forms cavity Bragg grating fibre. Furthermore intra-cavity VOA attenuating signal. Such arrangement uses selecting function required being selected match level which gain clamps, accordingly value amplifier gain, easily adjusted adjusting vary losses within cavity. Thus linear variable realised can be integrated on silicon SOI fabrication.
