摘要: We study the microbiome of sea water collected from two locations Barbadian coral reefs. The sites differ in several environmental and ecological variables including their endogenous benthic community addition to proximity urban development runoffs inland watersheds. composition microbial was estimated using whole genome DNA shotgun sequencing. Although both exhibit a similar degree richness, less urbanized site (Maycocks reef at Hangmans Bay) is strongly concentrated with phototrophs. In comparison, more location (Bellairs Research Institute) enriched for copiotrophs, macroalgal symbionts marine-related disease-bearing organisms taxa scattered across tree life. Overall, our samples associated measurements chemical qualities are line previous marine profiles warm ocean surface waters. This suggests approach captures salient information regarding state each sets stage larger longitudinal studies dynamics Barbados.
