摘要: Background Integrative cancer care (ICC) is used by approximately 50% of patients to complement oncologic treatments and address unmet needs. One ICC practice anthroposophic medicine, integrating conventional complementary care. It specifically provides mistletoe therapy (MT), but also intensive counselling, natural remedies, creative movement therapies, nursing procedures, nutrition, others. The objective this study was explore perceptions, themes, goals, observations experienced AM doctors with regard the subjective dimensions ICC. Method A guideline-based qualitative interview conducted 35 working in hospitals office-based practices Germany other countries. Structured content analysis applied examine data. Triangulation done published studies investigating patients’ perspectives on MT. Results interviewed integrated holistic concepts. Overarching therapeutic themes were: enable live or overcome their disease, find own way through possibly reframe situation. broad variety goals were pursued, depending situation priorities particular patient. Doctors described varying levels improved strength; increased vitality, thermal comfort, recovery; relief from suffering, particularly areas fatigue, appetite, sleep, pain, infections, reactions toxic anti-cancer therapies. how they perceived changes emotional level, coping, autonomy, functional abilities, finding deal disease. This consistent studies. Conclusion Themes, benefit doctors’ perspective may be an important complementation care, as it meets needs, distresses conditions which often stay unrelieved. Further research should investigate these procedures.
