摘要: This study is a comparison of the petrology fine-grained elastics contained in Pantano Formation, Mineta Rillito beds, Helmet Fanglomerate, and Tucson Basin sediments. Depositional mineralogic characteristics have been compared, with emphasis on clay heavy mineral assemblages, to determine source rocks possible correlations. The Formation at its two localities was probably deposited same basin. Forma tion, derived primarily from Cretaceous rocks, may also connected this type II III beds were older formations within Santa Catalina Mountains. On contrary, I are similiar Ridge had rocks. Al though previously believed be equivalent, no correlation between Fanglomerate observable.
