摘要: The biological phenomenon of cell fusion in a cancer context is still matter controversial debates. Even though plethora vitro and vivo data have been published the past decades ultimate proof that tumor hybrid cells could originate (human) cancers contribute to progression disease missing, suggesting hypothesis rather fiction than fact. However, lack this valid argument against hypothesis, particularly if one has consider appropriate markers do not (yet) exist, thus making it virtually impossible identify human clearly as cell. In present review, we will summarize evidence supporting concept. Moreover, refine by providing potent inducer aneuploidy, genomic instability and, most likely, even chromothripsis, fusion, like mutations might be an mutator phenotype. Finally, show "accidental" tissue repair processes during therapy lead origin resistant stem cells.
