摘要: In a prospective study, peripheral pulses, claudication, oedema, and rest pain were evaluated in 314 sequentially presenting diabetic patients with foot ulcers. the ulcerated limb pedal pulses found to be present 44% of patients, oedema 38%, 19%. Twelve per cent had claudication. Presence was more common whose ulcers underwent primary healing (56%) than those who healed after amputation (23%) or died (25%, p less 0.001). Eighty healing. However, 49% absence also 12 developed gangrene despite presence pulses. Peripheral required (58%) (55%) (26%, A tentative predisposing factor identified 95% most factors being neuropathy, congestive heart failure, previous deep venous thrombosis. Rest (48%) (7%; Only 50% these only one The give valuable but imperfect information on possible patients.
