摘要: The use of the high-order Flux Reconstruction (FR) spatial discretization scheme for LES on unstructured meshes is investigated. Simulations compressible Taylor-Green vortex at \(Re=1{,}600\) demonstrate that FR has low numerical dissipation and accurately reproduces turbulent energy cascade resolution, making it ideal LES. To permit subgrid-scale models incorporating explicit filtering tetrahedral meshes, a filter acting modal form solution (i.e. Dubiner basis functions) developed. WALE-Similarity mixed (WSM) model using this employed flow over square cylinder \(Re=21{,}400\), obtaining reasonable agreement with experiments. Future research will be directed improved SGS filters developing hybrid RANS/LES methods.
