摘要: Inflammatory processes in the central nervous system are feature among biological reactions to harmful stimuli such as pathogens and damaged cells. In resting conditions, microglia involved immune surveillance brain homeostasis. However, activation of abnormal can be detrimental neurons, even resulting neurodegenerative diseases Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease Huntington's disease. Therefore, normalization microglial is considered a promising strategy for developing drugs that treat or prevent inflammation-related diseases. present study, we investigated effects piperlongumine, an active component Piper longum, on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced neuroinflammation using BV2 We found piperlongumine significantly inhibited production nitric oxide prostaglandin E2 induced by LPS. Piperlongumine also reduced expression inducible synthase cyclooxygenase-2 well proinflammatory cytokines tumor necrosis factor-α interleukin-6. exerted its anti-neuroinflammatory suppressing nuclear factor kappa B signaling pathway. These findings suggest could candidate agent treatment
