摘要: This study evaluated the feasibility of magnetic resonance (MR) volumetry using a diffusion-weighted data set (VDWI) and compared it with conventional T2-weighted (VC) in patients affected by rectal cancer treated chemoradiation therapy (CHRT). Fourteen biopsy diagnosis underwent MR examination before after CHRT. images were used to extrapolate VC. A (DW) sequence was acquired [spin-echo echo-planar imaging (SE-DW-EPI)] b-value 800 s/mm2 volume calculated semiautomatic segmentation tumour hyperintensity. Two radiologists independently assessed volumes analysed order establish interobserver agreement compare correlate regression grade (TRG), as evaluable at pathological surgical specimen. Further studies on large series are needed refine technique evaluate its potential predictive value.
