摘要: Optical fiber gratings have developed into a mature technology with wide range of applications in various areas, including physical sensing for temperature, strain, acoustic waves and pressure. All these rely on the perturbation period or refractive index grating inscribed core as transducing mechanism between quantity to be measured optical spectral response grating. This paper presents relatively recent variant concept, whereby small tilt fringes causes coupling power from mode multitude cladding modes, each its own wavevector field shape. The main consequence doing so is that differential modes can then used multiply modalities available single also increase sensor resolution by taking advantage large amount data available. In particular, temperature cross-sensitivity source fluctuation noise inherent all designs completely eliminated referencing measurements wavelength level back-reflection. resonances quality factor 105, they observed reflection transmission. A thorough review experimental theoretical results will show tilted Bragg high refractometry, surface plasmon resonance applications, multiparameter (strain, vibration, curvature, temperature).
