摘要: Copper(II)–Schiff base complexes have attracted extensive inter­est due to their structural, electronic, magnetic and luminescence properties. The title novel monomeric CuII complex, [Cu(C10H11N2O4)2], has been synthesized by the reaction of 3-{[(3-hy­droxy­prop­yl)imino]­meth­yl}-4-nitro­phenol (H2L) copper(II) acetate monohydrate in methanol, was characterized elemental analysis, UV IR spectroscopies, single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis a photoluminescence study. atom is located on centre inversion coordinated two imine N atoms, phen­oxy O atoms mutual trans disposition hy­droxy axial positions, forming an elongated octa­hedral geometry. In crystal, inter­molecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link mol­ecules form one-dimensional chain structure π–π contacts also connect three-dimensional structure. solid-state properties complex free H2L investigated at room temperature visible region. When are excited under light 349 nm, displays strong green emission 520 nm blue 480 nm.
