A novel method to synthesize large-sized hydroxyapatite rods

摘要: Abstract A simple and controllable method was developed to synthesize large-sized hydroxyapatite (HAP) rods. Firstly, HAP crystals were reprecipitated from the supersaturated solution in presence of gelatin. After calcination at 600 °C for 4 h, rods with good purity crystallinity obtained. Furthermore, due protection gelatin a high concentration, had perfect monodispersity. The average length rod-like could be controlled range 0.65–5 μm by simply changing weight ratios 0.2:8 2:8.
