摘要: This qualitative study attempted to capture the experiences of parents children with high-functioning autistic spectrum disorders participating in child-parent relationship therapy (CPRT). Parents (HFASD) are prone experiencing stress parent-child due difficulty social understanding and rigid behavioral patterns often found among HFASD. Moreover, HFASD may feel challenged find suitable interventions that time-limited, affordable, appropriate for Because no research currently investigates perceived acceptability CPRT HFASD, it was decided a would best understand more fully whether is an intervention these parents. Four one grandparent were interviewed prior following their participation 10 sessions CPRT. Thematic analysis pre- post-intervention interviews as well revealed eight themes related overall experience change parent, child, relationship: concepts, reactions CPRT, group dynamic, child characteristics, parent knowledge family context, relationship.
