摘要: Abstract We analyze historical earthquakes of the past century having generated regional tsunamis in Samoa, by means epicentral relocation and quantification spectral amplitudes waveforms from seismograms. The only tsunami with a level destruction comparable to 2009 event was earthquake 26 June 1917 Samoa corner. Yet, memory this is largely absent ancestral heritage present population which we tentatively attribute nearly simultaneous occurrence influenza epidemic 1918. While not able fully resolve focal geometries, document diversity mechanisms, add an element unpredictability forecast any future region.
