摘要: Surface-enhanced Raman spectra of a single Fe-protoporphyrin IX molecule display drastic fluctuations in frequency and intensity. When analyzed their temporal evolution, the vibrational modes undergo an on-off switching behavior that is shown to follow Levy statistics. Such time dependent process may encode both dynamics molecule-environment interactions intrinsic gating or activation mode emission mechanism.
