摘要: Chromium vaporization and oxide scale growth are probably the two most important degradation mechanisms associated with interconnect in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) when Cr 2 O 3 -forming alloys used as material. This study examines influence of temperature on both mechanisms. Two commercially available steels; Crofer 22 H Sanergy HT, were isothermally exposed at 650, 750 850 °C an air-3% atmosphere a high flow rate. Volatile chromium species collected using denuder technique. The microstructure thermally grown scales was characterized Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-Ray Analysis (EDX) Diffraction (XRD). findings this show that although evaporation is reduced lower temperature, its relative importance compared to greater.
