摘要: Abstract Human Vγ2Vδ2 + T cells recognize mycobacterial non-peptide antigens, such as isopentenyl pyrophosphate, and their synthetic analogs, monoethyl phosphate, through a TCR-dependent process. Here, we examine the presentation of these antigens. recognized secreted prenyl pyrophosphate antigens in absence other accessory but, under conditions, required cell-T cell contact. Recognition neither expression classical MHC class I, II, or CD1a, CD1b, CD1c molecules, nor I II peptide loading pathways. Fixed also presented to γδ cells. Thus, contrast with conventional protein superantigens αβ cells, are novel extracellular pathway that does not require antigen uptake, processing, expression. This allows for rapid recognition bacteria by suggests play role early response bacterial infection.
