摘要: Human spaceflight is associated with a substantial loss of skeletal muscle mass and strength. Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) evokes involuntary contractions, which have the potential to preserve or restore neuromuscular function during and/or post spaceflight. This assumption largely based on evidence from terrestrial disuse/immobilization studies without use large exercise equipment that may not be available in beyond International Space Station. In this mini-review we provide an overview rationale for NMES state-of-the-art knowledge, compare used orbit, ground-based analogs order practical recommendations implementation future space missions. Emphasis will placed knee extensor plantar flexor muscles known particularly susceptible deconditioning
