摘要: Traffic loads are one of the key data elements required for design and analysis pavement structures. Traditionally mixed traffic stream was aggregated into equivalent single-axle (ESALs) applied empirical performance equations. The Mechanistic Empirical Pavement Design Guide (MEPDG) proposes a more direct rational approach to characterizing in term full axle-load spectrum each axle type group. To meet requirements MEPDG, automated collection techniques needed. However, collected with sites often have errors. This is particularly true from weight motion (WIM) sites.
