摘要: RT3S (Real Time Simulations for Safer vascular Stenting) is a partially EU-funded research project aiming to develop software tool supporting physicians during the preplanning of endovascular stenting procedures. The expected improve way limb-saving, minimally-invasive procedures are currently performed, with positive clinical and economic impact. A hypothetical cohort patients was modeled used simulate patient's progression through treatment Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD). Markov health state-based model implemented, based on parameters derived from literature clinicians' feedback. health-economic analysis allowed quantitative estimation advantages related implementation software. potential impact achieved. proved accord well observed predictions experts in field. It represents an important reference future assessment IT-related innovations healthcare sector.
