摘要: Abstract A case of multiple myeloma with paramyloidosis presenting as rheumatoid disease is described. The clinical picture was that a symmetric polyarthritis involving fingers, wrists, elbows, shoulders and knees; flexion contractures were present, small nodules felt over the volar surfaces both ulnas below olecranon. bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome had been treated by division ligaments two years previously. Biopsies tongue, synovium, ligament periosteal revealed amyloid deposits; aspiration sternal iliac bone marrow showed 20 per cent 10 plasma cells, respectively. salient features this six like cases recorded in literature are briefly reviewed compared disease.
