摘要: Hexavalent chromium [Cr(VI)] is a common environmental pollutant that mobile in soils and known mutagen The trivalent form [Cr(III)] has no mutagenic properties highly insoluble immobile above pH 5 Reduction to the state thus represents an effective mechanism for detoxification immobilization of Cr(VI) soil/water systems In this study, we conducted experiments examine various parameters involving aerobic reduction field soil We found organic matter content, bioactivity, oxygen status were important factors Under optimum conditions, reduced 96% added under aerobic, moist conditions system was shown have little effect Both biological nonbiological processes influential, and, 20 chromate resistant bacterial cultures isolated from soils, 9 actively reduce Cr(III) liquid media Our study suggests amended can readily could promote excellent removal efficiency either as primary treatment technique, or conjunction with bioreactor type wastewater
