摘要: The goals of this dissertation work were to assess the bioaccumulation potential carbamazepine and amiodarone, two widely used ionizable pharmaceutical compounds that possess mid-range high LogD values, respectively, evaluate alternative methods chemical accumulation in bluntnose minnows, catfish, tilapia. Results indicated does not appreciably bioaccumulate fish tissue with BCFk BAF values < 10. Amiodarone, however, a log D 5.87 at pH 7.4, accumulated tissues kinetic BCF <2,400. Collectively, data suggest full abbreviated laboratory-derived BCFs, BCFMs derived from S9 loss-of-parent assays, as well field are similar for each drugs. In summary, results indicated: 1) reduced design test is good estimate traditional OECD 305 test. 2) vitro metabolism assays provide comparable estimates 3) Metabolism may play large role drugs fish. 4) Reduced tests cost effective can reduce vertebrate testing.
