Interior of Europa

摘要: On the basis of Europa’s measured density, quadrupole gravitational coefficients, and shape, it is inferred that satellite fully differentiated into a metallic core, silicate mantle, outer water ice/liquid shell. From measurements induced magnetic field due to currents in Europa driven by time variations Jovian-directed component planet’s magnetic field, there global subsurface liquid ocean within Europa’s Geological features are consistent with existence of beneath icy surface. This chapter reviews the evidence for internal structure model Europa, describes how the structural obtained, explains existence subsurface liquid inferred, discusses possible composition of Europa’s ocean.
