摘要: Background: The population of elderly is on the rise worldwide. medical care this group represent a significant unmet health need and thus utilization facilities therefore very important.Objective: To determine healthcare services experience in Edo state, Nigeria.Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional survey was conducted Eyaen community Uhunwonde Local Government Area Nigeria. study 400 recruited using multistage sampling technique. data collection tool utilized an interviewer-administered questionnaire. Results: There were more males (56.5%) than females (43.5%) giving male: female ratio 1.3:1, with mean age 71.3 years. Majority 95.3% had visited facility, nine-tenth (90.3%) fall sick often but only 67.8% visit facility when they are seriously sick. Waiting time considered long among 70.5% 9.5% respondents respectively. Sixty-six percent attested that number doctors insufficient 72% felt consulted friendly. Effective communication workers reported by 77% respondents. Appointment booking easy for 51.3% association level education ease appointment statistically significant. cost service received deemed too expensive 53% Musculoskeletal pain (40.5%) malaria (29.0%) most common illnesses Conclusion: Data from revealed unpleasant as evidenced waiting time, facilities, services. Modeling delivery elderly, devoid these impediments obvious necessity.
