摘要: Chronic spontaneous urticaria, formerly also known as chronic idiopathic urticaria and (CU), is more common than previously thought. At any time, 0.5-1% of the population suffers from disease (point prevalence). Although all age groups can be affected, peak incidence seen between 20 40 years age. The duration generally 1-5 but likely to longer in severe cases, cases with concurrent angioedema, combination physical or a positive autologous serum skin test (autoreactivity). has major detrimental effects on quality life, sleep deprivation psychiatric comorbidity being frequent. It large impact society terms direct indirect health care costs well reduced performance at work private life. In majority patients, an underlying cause cannot identified making causal and/or curative treatment difficult. Nonsedating H₁-antihistamines are mainstay symptomatic therapy, licensed doses relieves symptoms effectively < 50% patients. guideline-recommended updosing up fourfold increases symptom control many substantial number patients have only little benefit H₁ -antihistamines. Consequently, there great need for new therapeutic strategies.
