摘要: Background: Increased values of C-reactive protein (CRP), the classical acute phase protein, within range below 5 mg/L, previously considered to be reference interval, are strongly associated with increased risk atherothrombotic events, and clinically significant in osteoarthritis neonatal infection. Methods: A robust new polyclonal-monoclonal solid- IRMA for CRP was developed, a 0.05–10.0 mg/L. Results: Plasma general adult populations from Augsburg, Germany (2291 males 2203 females; ages, 25–74 years) Glasgow, Scotland (604 650 25–64 were very similar. The median approximately doubled age, ∼1 mg/L youngest decade ∼2 oldest, tended higher females. Conclusion: This extensive data set, largest such study CRP, provides valuable information future clinical epidemiological investigations.
