摘要: Research and eco-innovation geared to obtain alternative sources of raw materials from waste constitute pathways for enhancing the competitiveness resource-intensive industries. Cement concrete manufacture calls new new, highly pozzolanic products improve mechanical properties durability resulting matrices, while at same time reducing production costs environmental impact. Spanish coal mining wastes generated in extraction washing steps a mine Castilla-Leon region were investigated. Mineralogically, these are composed by kaolinite (20-30%), illite (45-70%) quartz (5-15). This composition is very interesting order activate, controlled thermal activation, present that generates metakaolin, product. Morphological, textural microstructural changes affect activity reactivity activated wastes. These first studies open up research line, practically unknown international community, stand out important economic benefits associated with recycling as supplementary cementing future commercial blended cements.
