摘要: Manual palpation to update the position of subsurface tumor(s) is a normal practice in open surgery, but not possible through small incisions minimally invasive surgery (MIS). This paper proposes method that has potential use simple constant-force indenter and existing laparoscopic camera for tumor location refinement MIS. The floats with organ movement generate static surface deformation on soft tissue, resolving problems previous studies require complicated measurement force displacement during indentation. By analyzing profile, we can intraoperatively tumor's real-time. Indentation experiments were conducted healthy "diseased" porcine liver specimens obtain surrounding site. An inverse finite element (FE) algorithm was developed determine optimal material parameters tissue. With these parameters, computational model tumorous tissue constructed quantitatively evaluate effects induced deformation. relating experimental data from specimen results, estimated radial distance between indenter, as well angular relative indenter.
