摘要: Cadmium is an important pollutant in the environment, toxic to most organisms and a potential threat human health: Crops other plants take up Cd from soil or water may enrich it their roots shoots. In this review, we summarize natural anthropogenic reasons for occurrence of toxicity, evaluate observed phytotoxic effects growing Cd-supplemented nutrient solution. Cd-induced include oxidative stress, genotoxicity, inhibition photosynthetic apparatus, root metabolism. We explain proposed possible interactions between these modes toxicity. While discussing recent older studies, further emphasize environmental relevance experiments physiological response plant.
