摘要: Abstract This paper describes the design of a highly integrated ultrasound sensor where piezoelectric ceramic transducer is used as carrier for driver electronics. Intended one part in complete portable, battery operated system, focus has been to achieve small size and low power consumption. An optimized ASIC stage mounted directly on connected using wire bond technology. The absence wiring between provides excellent pulse control possibilities eliminates need broad band matching networks. Estimates consumption are made based capacitive behavior transducer. System simulated SPICE models together with transistor level modelling stage. Measurements simulations presented system echo energy setup. It shown that varies excitation width, which also affects received measured 16 mm diameter 4.4 MHz 95 μW 130 μW at repetition frequency 1 kHz. As lower gives linearly consumption, very long operating times can be achieved. results come close well estimated ideal minimum
