摘要: Abstract Supported bimetallic RuCu SiO 2 catalysts are characterized by transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, microdiffraction, and chemisorption. Metal particles up to 4 nm in diameter bimetallic, while larger than contain only Cu. Considerable compositional nonuniformity is observed from one individual metal particle the next. Microdiffraction patterns obtained can be attributed either Ru or Cu suggesting no significant modification crystallographic structure of component. Addition results a drastic suppression H2 chemisorption extent O2 not as strongly affected. The suppressed capability an indication atomic interdispersion on surface clusters, leading break-up ensembles which would necessary for dissociation molecular hydrogen. influence catalyst preparation techniques relative consequent discrepancies literature discussed.
