摘要: Abstract : The effects of increasing ion-neutral collisions on velocity-shear-driven ion cyclotron waves have been studied in simulated ionospheric conditions the Naval Research Laboratory's Space Physics Simulation Chamber. experiments show that shear-driven can exist for collision frequencies order gyrofrequency. For higher where ions become unmagnetized, a transition to frequency mode is observed.
