摘要: Alcohol abuse is one of the most common causes adult-onset seizures. Earnest and Yarnell reviewed 472 adults who were admitted with seizures found that 41% related to alcohol (1). A variety etiologies for exist, frequent being partial or absolute withdrawal following a period heavy use. In addition, may be caused by acute head trauma alcohol-related toxic-metabolic disorders. Other factors noted precipitate in setting chronic include pre-existing idiopathic post-traumatic epilepsy. The term (ARSs) has been adopted recognition multifactorial origin alcoholism (2). Today management patients presenting ARSs remains challenging, despite years experience, observation, study.
