摘要: In the neonatal rat differential activity levels of metabolic enzyme succinic dehydrogenase (SDH) reveal intricately detailed segmentation in neuropil spinal and principal trigeminal nuclei brainstem ventrobasal complex thalamus. The occurs portions these that electrophysiological evidence has indicated to be related mystacial vibrissae sinus hairs on face rat. Indeed, pattern each nucleus replicates topographic distribution hairs. Further, within nucleus, there appear two distinct representations vibrissae, one subnucleus caudalis a second interpolaris. Examination patterns indicates large young are somatotopically represented three times complex, as straight cylinders neuropil, once curved neuropil. Neonatal damage leads an aberrant organization complex. SDH areas associated with damaged is lower than normal density, indistinct. However, rows clusters adjacent apparent enlarged. results bands density where segmented would normally present. Comparison data cortical previous paper (Killackey Belford, '79) nuclear structures can have aspects their development controlled by similar mechanisms.
