摘要: Abstract Coastal erosion is a natural phenomenon affecting large number of coastal areas. The zone an area with immense geological, geomorphological and ecological interest. Monitoring mitigation shoreline along populated areas important task remains difficult goal to achieve. coast Karnataka state extends from Talapadi in south Sadashivgad north covering distance about 280 km. In this study, attempt has been made investigate the transformation coast. Fair weather satellite images LANDSAT 1991 2014 interval eight years were used delineate shoreline. A Linear Regression Rate-of-change (LRR) End Point Rate (EPR) statistic was carried out using Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS) computer software United States Geological Survey (USGS). Highest EPR 15.96 m (1991-2014) noticed Ankola taluk, whereas highest LRR 15.5 Karwar, both indicating accretion. Honnavar 19.59 respectively 19.95 m.
