Responsible research and innovation in contrasting innovation environments: Socio-Technical Integration Research in Hungary and the Netherlands

摘要: Recently, the notion of responsible research and innovation (RRI) has been gaining momentum in policy practice. The main claim RRI is that social, ethical environmental aspects should be taken into consideration scientific activities. Socio-Technical Integration Research (STIR) one first tools emerging from designed to help research, development actors practically implement key their daily work. Since its inception 2006, results multiple international studies have demonstrated possibility utility STIR, albeit developed countries. In 2015, a STIR pilot study was conducted developing region Szeged, Hungary. Its are similar, but far those achieved this paper we explore what, if any, role environment plays outcomes implementation practices such as STIR. We analyze effectiveness wider context national environments Hungary Netherlands. Our findings suggest can affect success approaches As recommendation, therefore recommend adapted country concerned.
