摘要: Opioid antagonists (eg, naltrexone) and positive modulators of γ-aminobutyric acid type A receptors alprazolam) each modestly attenuate the abuse-related effects stimulants. previous study demonstrated that acute pretreatment with combination naltrexone alprazolam attenuated a greater number subject-rated D-amphetamine than constituent drugs alone. This tested hypothesis maintenance on XR would reinforcing "positive" methamphetamine to extent alone.Eight non-treatment-seeking, stimulant-using individuals completed placebo-controlled, crossover, double-blind inpatient protocol. Participants were maintained (0 50 mg), 1 (50 mg mg, respectively) for 6 7 days. Under condition, participants sampled intranasal doses (0, 10, 30 then offered opportunity work dose modified progressive-ratio procedure. Subject-rated drug effect questionnaires, psychomotor, physiology assessments collected.Intranasal functioned as reinforcer produced prototypical stimulant-like physiological effects. Maintenance significantly decreased reinforcing, but not 10-mg methamphetamine. Alprazolam did impact self-administration or The results support continued evaluation dependence, well identification other enhance its ability reduce drug-taking behavior.
