摘要: Abstract The “typical” global and large-scale regional temperature patterns associated with the low (warm) high (cold) phases of Southern Oscillation (SO) are investigated. A total 12 separate regions were found to have consistent phase SO, while 11 areas phase. Of these areas, 9 expected during both SO. In tropics, anomalies same sign as SO-related sea surface (SST) anomaly in all land except for one area west Pacific. Three extratropical responses SO over North America is Japan.
